We built an upscale building with three kitchens. The only choices seemed to be cheap looking and flimsy or very expensive custom cabinets. But when we found MFK we were able to build stylish custom-looking kitchens at a very competitive price. They were a great selling point for our units. Susan Wain, the owner, could not have been more helpful in working out the details. She's a real pro. Shipping to New York worked out perfectly and one or two missing parts were replaced quickly and cheerfully. We'll certainly use Susan and MFK on our next project.

I purchased my white gloss cabinetry in September and finally finished the install this week. They look beautiful. I am very happy with the layout created by one of MFK designers. The quality of the box itself is great with all plywood sides and the hinges and metal drawer sides are sturdy. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the difficulty in cutting the trim pieces and the limitation on stock items. I had to purchase several custom cabinets which increased my cost. But the fact they can manufacture pieces to exact size is a huge plus. Many budget cabinet companies don’t even offer that option. Susan was great in helping me get replacements for some pieces from the factory. If you want a modern look these cabinets won’t disappoint.

We had a great experience with Modern Family Kitchens and our designer, Fay. She helped me completely reorganize our kitchen layout to maximize the space, without losing the integrity of the original design (our house was designed by Viktor Civkin, the “kitchen triangle” guy).
Fay made sure all his original efficiency elements of the layout remained in the new design, saved us money and gave us a design that took a 1 person kitchen to a comfortable 3 person kitchen with seating for 4. We took out a wall and moved plumbing and electrical. Working with her was easy - we emailed and Skyped until the design was just right. Our contractor was thrilled with the quality of the cabinets - he does a lot of kitchens and is a perfectionist and couldn’t stop raving about how well made they were. Our granite installers were also impressed. I definitely recommend Modern Family Kitchens without hesitation.
Modern Family Kitchens was easy to work with. Their kitchen designer was very helpful and dug into all of the details needed to make this a great functioning and beautiful kitchen. They were there to answer questions throughout the whole process including when we had questions during the install, which we did ourselves. We’re very handy, but this was our first kitchen renovation. Overall, I’m happy with the outcome and would use them again for a future kitchen.
I just want to say thank you, again. I am so beyond grateful for the service, the speed, I could literally cry. Without embellishment, I have spent almost a year planning my IKEA kitchen (and other rooms that require cabinetry). In the past month I have made close to 150 calls trying to get their help. I realize it's a difficult time but I have spent HOURS on hold and followed every step they've asked only to still be in a position over a month later, not able to order my kitchen. IKEA has great products, everyone knows that but diabolical customer service. You blow them off the map. One phone call and I feel like I can have my design questions answered and kitchen ordered so that it can finally be installed!
When we started our kitchen design process two months ago, we had no idea how incredible our kitchen design would become. We started working with Modern Family Kitchens and to say that our designer, Fay, met our needs is an understatement.
Fay went above and beyond, listening to what our needs were every step of the way. She took our original concept and improved it by streamlining the design and decreasing costs-- all while designing a kitchen that far exceeded what we had envisioned in the first place.
